Project Living Free materials for Slovenija and Sweden

As most of you know by now, a large portion of the projects we support has to do with faith-based drugs and alcohol recovery programs. In rehab centers across Europe, the addicted find new life and freedom in Jesus Christ.

Unfortunately, only a very small percentage of people struggling with addiction issues actually enroll in a residential program. After all, you will be away from home/work for months.

Fortunately, there are also other possibilities to lead people to true freedom, for example, the Living Free group lessons that are offered in churches.

We have been able to donate several times in the past for the translation of those lessons into various languages. Jonatan & Valentina Vlaisavljevic from Teen Challenge Macedonia are the representatives of Living Free in the Balkans. The intention is to train participants so that they can give the training themselves in their church or organization.

We would like to contribute to a healthy spiritual climate in all countries of Europe! ๐Ÿ‘‰ We believe that is part of the great commission to go into the world and make all nations disciples of Jesus Christ.

Funds are currently being collected for Teen Challenge in Slovenia and Sweden to enable the translation of the video subtitles and the translation and printing of the workbook, and personal and group lessons. Once that job is done, they can start offering the lessons!

If you have a heart for practical Biblical education and freedom for people who struggle with all kinds of problems, send your donation to IBAN: NL91RABO0118582275 BIC: RABONL2U St. Traveling Light in Papendrecht. Make sure to mention: LIVING FREE.

Project Roma support, Bulgaria

In our previous blog we shared the 'Roma Bread Basket' project in Macedonia. We will stay with the Roma population for a while and reflect on the work of Radko and Nevin Kratsov in Bulgaria.

In their most recent newsletter, they shared about the birth of their third daughter Melissa. We are all thankful that mother and baby are doing well.

Last January Radko and his team were able to distribute tons of warm clothing to more than five hundred families. Currently, the Christian Roma community in Bulgaria is joining forces to help their brothers and sisters in Ukraine.

That is quite remarkable, writes Radko in his newsletter because many Roma are among the poorest in Bulgaria, and yet they are now doing their best to help others in need.

There are several large Roma communities in Kharkov and Kherson. Radko was supposed to give a conference there for about fifty Roma pastors in April, May, and October, but unfortunately, that cannot take place now because of the war. They stay in touch with each other as much as possible!

Conferences, training sessions, and youth meetings in Bulgaria and Macedonia are again on the calendar for the coming months. In his work with YWAM (Youth with a Mission), Pastor Radko focuses first and foremost on the spiritual development of the Roma population. He knows from his own experience that receiving God's love is the beginning of a new life... for everyone!

His personal story can be seen in this very interesting documentary.

Radko provides education and leadership training in Bulgaria and surrounding countries and helps Roma to develop a Biblical view for every area of life: relationships, work, health, finances, etc.

If you would like to support the work of Radko and YWAM in Sliven, Bulgaria, please make your gift payable to: St. Traveling Light, Papendrecht IBAN: NL91RABO0118582275 BIC: RABONL2U and make sure to mention: ROMA BULGARIA.

๐Ÿ‘‰You can give by card as well.

Project school for children-at-risk, Armenia

In January 2020 our ice skating team raised funds for the work of Teen Challenge in Armenia. TC was able to purchase a big property and opened up a second rehab center. You can see their thank you video HERE.

The rehab centers are running, the work continues. Praise God. But because of the current situation in Armenia (war, political unrest etc.) Gagik and Lusine Mkrtchyan decided to also start a ministry for orphans and children at risk.

They will be opening up a school for spiritual, educational, and professional skills teaching, depending on the children's abilities. Because of the war, there are at least ten thousand orphans and widows in the country at the moment.

Gagik and Lusine already took away almost a hundred children (see pictures) and women from villages on fire and from very dangerous places. Many children are in the risk zone to use drugs, alcohol and to be out in the streets. That's why they want to have this school for them.

As a Christian nation, Armenia is surrounded by hostile groups and countries and experiences a war of terror attacks and persecution.

Teen Challenge Armenia fights this war without weapons, because they realize they are not fighting against flesh and blood, but against forces of spiritual darkness.

They wrote us a letter, asking for our participation. They will need funds to set up the school, to purchase materials, to feed the kids etc.

If you want to help to give these kids hope and a future, please send your donation to St. Traveling Light, Papendrecht, IBAN: NL91RABO0118582275, BIC: RABONL2U and don't forget to mention: TC ARMENIA.

๐Ÿ‘‰When in the USA you can make your tax-deductible gift payable to EEO Inc. Make sure to mention: TC ARMENIA.

Let's do it! Let's follow up on God's Word and take care of the widows and orphans.

THANK YOU for your donations and your prayers!
